December 2019
AugustWe had the privilege of taking a team from Ohio to Costa Rica. We can not thank the team from The River Family Christian Church enough, as they did a fantastic job. They packed and distributed food baskets for local needy families, spent time getting to know some local families and they cleaned and repaired an elderly gentlemen’s house. SeptemberWe had the honor of helping a church in Elk Creek, Virginia pack over 250 boxes for their monthly food distribution and also helped them with a fund raiser that they were doing for their yearly free summer camp that they have for children ages 4-14. We also got to take part in some classes that were teach on the Hebrew language. OctoberDuring the month of October, we spent time in Georgia and Costa Rica. In Georgia we did elderly home repairs and in CR we visited the women’s prison and also saw Grandma and the kids that she has. November We were in North Carolina helping John’s mom and then we went to Savannah, Georgia with Cindy’s mom. Cindy’s mom received The Bishop Garland Service award from the Diocese of Savannah, Georgia. This award is given to people that have volunteered countless hours to the church. Cindy’s mom has been volunteering for more than 20 years. This is a well deserved award and we are very proud of her. DecemberDuring the month of December, we will be returning to Costa Rica for Mario’s graduation from grade school. After our trip to Costa Rica, we will be traveling to Kansas to spend Christmas with our son Jeremiah.

![]() Merry Christmas and Happy New YearGreetingsWow! Where has all of the time gone? It is so very hard to believe that another year will be behind us soon. We are so very grateful for your continued love, prayers and financial support during this last year. We know that you guys are a big part of what we do and want to say a big THANK YOU. We also want to wish you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. We pray that you will have a wonderful time with family and friends this year. We also ask that you say some special prayers for people that are struggling during this holiday season. We know of people that have lost loved ones and know that this will be a difficult time for them. We also have friends that are dealing with sick loved ones and would appreciate your prayers as well. 2019 has been a very busy year for us and we are excited to share what God has been leading us to do for 2020. What is new for 2020 We are excited to announce that we will be moving back to Costa Rica in the first part of 2020. We are going to be starting a redemption/restoration house for women and children. We will not be moving back to the area that we have lived in for over 5 years, instead we will be moving back closer to the city of San Jose.
Mariela is our first mom that we will be helping. She is the mother of 7 children and 5 of them are in child services
