Quick update

We have often heard people saying that I am too old to learn new things and that I can't change, but this last month God has shown us how true Matthew 19:26 is, "With God ALL things are possible."

One of the key things that God told us when coming to Costa Rica was that you must learn Spanish. We had attended a few weeks of classes when we arrived here in January and then had been doing online classes since, but we felt like all of this was not enough and that we must return to language school. So we found a great language school and have been taking classes since, but we must tell you that this has not been easy.

The Spanish language has so many verb conjugations that it makes your head spin . Here is an example of ir which means to go: So if you want to say I go you use voy, you go (informal) you use vas, he, she or you go (formal) you use va, we go you use vamos and you all go we use van. Then if you want to use this verb in past tense you would conjugate it as fui, fuiste, fue, fuimos and fuieron, adding an -ed on the end is so much simplier but then we are not taking English classes. We know that when God tells us to do something we must do it however, we just wish it would be a little bit easier. But then not all things in life are easy and we were taught if you want something badly then you have to work for it. We just wish that language school wasn't so expensive but then we know that it will all be worth it in the end when we can communicate with the people.

Since language school we are now able to understand the people that are driving up and down our street. We live in an area where you can still have things like eggs, fruit and vegetables delivered to your house. However there are two keys to buying this way one is you have to understand what they are selling  and for how much and the other is you have to catch them. Sometimes they drive down the street pretty fast and when you have to get out your door and then a locked gate it can make it pretty difficult. However, we are happy to report that John was able to catch one driver and was successful at buying eggs. Way to go John!!! When we can buy like this it saves us time and money. We save money because it is cheaper then if we bought at the store and we save time because we don't have to go to the store. We are also helping a local guy out so what could be better then that.

We are so very grateful for your love and support.
